A few hangers on
in the early morning light
refusing to fall
Along the lakeshore
burnt orange leaves on the trees
on a bright, clear day
A touch of coldness
small flames cling to the branches
a bright autumn day
Cold rings of water
leaves floating on the pavement
raining in the fall
Drained of chlorophyl
brilliant reds and oranges
take over the leaf
A chill in the air
what was once green is now brown
wilting leaf on vine
Autumn evening
resting in brittle fingers
dying on the branch
Orange fruit from vines
jack-o-lanterns or in pies
fall is in the air
