It is a little bit sad, but I will cease publishing haiku at Haiku 575 ( http://575.tumblr.com/ ) for a while (maybe indefinitely).
I have been publishing a daily haiku for almost 4 years (1,400+ posts once the queue dries up in a couple of days; about 1,365 of them haiku inspired by a Creative Commons licensed image). That is a lot of haiku.
The fun seems to have gone from it.
Instead, I will focus my writing on something else. Perhaps all I need is a break for a while to recharge and I will be back.
Little pool of ice
cupped in a dying giant leaf
winter marches on
Sunset at the lake
leisurely casting a lure
reflection of clouds
Curled like a ram’s horn
out of the dinosaur age
curious fossil
hydrangea flowers
purple petals overlapped
natural painting
Firm grasp on the silk
patient spider on the web
spotty camouflage
Trees between mirrors
buildings arranged in a block
to infinity
Out in the desert
rocky buttes capture the sun
light waves in the rock
A magic button
too bad magic doesn’t work
we need a reset
A kaleidoscope
various patterns of cloth
captured on a street
